Chancery Education Trust is a Multi-Academy Trust (a charitable organisation which runs on a ‘not for profit’ basis) and a designated DfE sponsor.
Chancery Education Trust utilises the strengths of all its schools. One of the Academies in our Trust is a National Support School and operates as a hub and trains colleagues in ‘Challenge the Gap’, which aims to close the attainment gap between ‘disadvantage children’s’ results and their peers. It also offers the Outstanding Teaching Programme, ‘growing middle leaders’, Outstanding Teaching Assistant Programme, our own cross borough NQT induction programme, Outstanding Leadership in Education and professional coaching programmes.
The Trust has a directory of other professionals with a broad range of expertise and specialism. We have a unique approach to working with schools and over the years we have worked with some excellent service providers and have built up beneficial relationships that are efficient and cost effective.

Examples of other support provided:
A new school joining the Trust would undergo a due diligence review. As part of this review, Directors of will seek the views of the Executive Leadership Group on the position of the school.
Schools joining the Trust upon conversion to Academy status, or Academies joining the Trust may bring in accumulated reserves. In the spirit of collaboration and collective responsibility, the Trust will make a levy to central Chancery Education Trust reserves between 5% – 7% of the school’s unrestricted reserves.
